Welcome to Oceanview Cycling
Our E-Bike Rental is situated on the beautiful Ceilidh Trail alongside the Coastline of West Cape Breton on Route 19. Most of the Trail between Creignish and Port Hood (about 60 km), where you can relax on five beaches, runs along the ocean with stunning views.
Have a bite to eat or a nice cup of coffee at the Clove Hitch Bar and Bistro and enjoy the beautiful view onto Port Hood Island while you wait for your battery to get charged, so you can easily get back to Creignish or cover even more distance!

Our Bicycles
Our Gazelle Medeo Bicycles are the perfect mixture of the performance of a sports bicycle with the looks and comfort of a city bike. The powerful Bosch Motor assists you silently and makes you climb hilly areas effortlessly. Dynamic low-step frame with 400Wh carrier battery, 9-speed Shimano Acera gears with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes.
We have them in 3 Sizes small, medium and large, to fit even children 4`10.
As the model name indicates, they are made for city's and urban areas, but this beautiful Ceilidh Trail, which used to be the old train tracks, is maintained so well, that you will enjoy it so much touring across.
You can decide between four levels of assistance: ECO, TOUR, SPORT and TURBO.
The more assistance you get, the less far you can go.

Things to do
There are many places on the trail to stop and watch birds or have a picnic. You are passing two beautiful wharfs on the way to Port Hood, which holds the third - one in Baxters Cove and one in Little Judique.
Creignish Community Hall
We are situated on the grounds of the Community Hall of Creignish, where lots of other events are happening, like Happy Hour every Friday night! Live music, Pubnights and there is a children's playground.

Celtic Music Interpretive Centre | Judique
Only around 20 km away is the Celtic Music Centre, with a lunch room, gift shop, exhibit room, library, live music and dances! There is a modern playground and an ice cream shop nearby

Alexander Trail | Judique
Beautiful loop through gorgeous fairy woods. It connects the trail to the community of Judique and the ocean shore. There are several picnic shelters and rest areas.

Clove Hitch Bar & Bistro | Port Hood
Bar & Bistro and a Gift Shop situated on Route 19 with a beautiful view onto the water and Port Hood Island. Open Wednesdays to Sunday, offering Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Menus, live music on several days.

Opening Hours for Drop Ins
Monday-Thursday: only prebooking until 3 hours ahead.
Friday-Sunday: 10-6 and whatever time you need the bikes.
